Hello!
This unusual 5 mm fly I found yesterday near a wood (Ostwestfalen/Germany). It resembles
Lipopterna cervi (Hippoboscidae), but those I know only from autumn - in big numbers on my clothing and skin :-/. This one didn't make arrangements to harm me, it peacefully rested on a grass halm.

This is
Ornithomyia, apparently
biloba group on visible characters.

Thanks! I only had an
Ornithomyia (at least I think so) years ago (before I had a camera), which had green legs.
