Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Callaphorid?

I photographed this today in my garden in southern England - I am sure this is going to be common, but which is it? :)

Well, its got 2 post sutural acrostichial setae, so it must be either ampullacea, caesar, illustris or bufonivora but I don't know how to get you any further than that, and I expect you had already worked that much out yourself.

Grrr - just spent a fruitless 10 minutes trying to key the 2 Lucilia I caught at the same time and the same place... only to get really confused. Went back to the beginning of the key and noticed the ones I caught have 3 ps-acr ... so they are Lucilia sericata ... grrrr ;)

Will have to catch some more tomorrow :)
