Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tipulidae, Tipula sp.?

I found this crane fly on Sunday (May 13th) in the garden, resting on a Bougainvillea leaf (in Crete, Greece). It's body length was about 30-40mm.

I guess it's a female, the pointed tip of the abdomen being an ovipositor, right?
