This is a medium sized robberfly was found at a meadow in Central Hungary. The second, third and fourth picture depict that this fly eats on a hapless Hymenoptera.

Could be Dioctria sp.?maybe D. rufipes (based on what I've seen on this forum)
The specialist will tell if I am right or not even closely;)
Best wishes,
Amalia

I know two species having the colouration in that way:
D. rufipes and
D. sudetica - both have shorter hair on scutum. In addition there are some few clothely related species in Southern Europe. So I believe it will be better to use
Dioctria soec. Yours
