Last week I saw this rather small Bombylius (compared to B. major; I guesstimate about 8 mm) in Southern Limburg, the Netherlands. The photographs are taken close to a small river (the Geul), but I've also seen them at the bungalow park where we stayed (Vaals), so it can not be too picky in its habitat choices. Can it be IDed on the basis of (these) photographs?
