Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinid for ID?

Hi, this fly was taken last year, 21st May. Again at Noar Hill, UK - habitat is downland with plenty of woode, scrubby areas.

I think its a tachinid, but not sure, and have no idea of species. It was ~8mm long.

Richard, it is Anthomyiidae.
May be Phorbia...

Hi Nikita, thanks very much for your replies, its much appreciated i was struggling with all of these and even a genus gives a starter!
