Subgenus Steganina :) It is a difficult (sub)genus.

Well, with three species within this subgenus described in the last 2o-3o years, it must really be hard.

By the way, is the size broadly variable within the species of this subgenus? I usually see largish flies like the one shown in this thread (around 5mm) and much smaller individuals (around 2.5mm). I often see them together, I do not know whether they belong to one or two species.
