Thread subject: Diptera.info :: One species of Tachnidae or variation of one species?

I recently found these two Tachinidae on two sequential days (april 30 and the first of may) in Stokkum (Achterhoek, the Netherlands). Ik think these flies belong to the genus Gymnosoma. Are these belonging to the same species of two different species (which)? Is it possible to tell from these pictures?
Regards
Marcel

Hi Marcel

Gymnosoma indeed, both females, and if from Stokkum, they must belong to nudifrons. However, from the pic this is invisible.

Oh, and the variation:
the first one is male, the second female
