here's two wasps, the red-bodied one is from the park in May and the purple-winged one is on a bank where mining and mason bees breed. Holes in the bank would normally be home to
Andrena flavipes, but I don't recall that the bees were much in evidence when the wasp or bee was found, in mid August.
Can they be labelled?

I think the one above is a gall wasp (
Cynipidae), of the genus
Diplolepis, below is a male
Lasioglossum bee, something close to
L. morio.
