Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Bibionidae?

sorry for the quality. Observed in the begining of November in a garden in Poland (Wrocław). I know similar Bibionidae, these look some odd.

I think so too. This aggregation of larvae are fairly typical. I know of no other family than Bibionidae showing this pattern

In North America larvae of some Sciaridae migrate in large masses. Sciaridae would have a contrasting, dark head capsule which I do not see here.
