Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Ephydridae Perhaps? West Virginia USA

This fly measured 4.1 mm and was photographed near some small flowers in the mint family, growing at the edge of the forest.

Ephydridae maybe?

West Virginia USA, 21 April 2007.

long arista is ok for Ephydridae.
I would go for Ephydridae as well.

first tarsal segment on the hind leg indicates Sphaeroceridae.
