HI

* locality - Silgueiros - Viseu - PORTUGAL
* date - 2007.04.22
* size - 7 mm (medium wasp)
* habitat - woodland
* substrate - Heracleum sp.

Spectacular wasp, it is a beauty. I have no doubts that some ichneumonids are among the most beautiful animals in Earth. :) Are there any wasps in another extrasolar planet? :D perhaps... dreaming.. :)

Ichneumonidae family - Ichneumoninae subfamily I think!

I hope that, at least, it is possible to put a genus level for this wasp.

ANOTHER QUESTION: How can I pin the wasps? Can you provide a website that shows photos with the right steps to do that? Thanks for your attention!

Cryptinae for my!:)Not very thick head, thin petiole, pronotum with bumps but prudence, no visible character discriminating!
