I've seen first Medetera last Saturday (on Alnus).

That was a single male on a dead Salix gnawed through completely by Lasius ants and barely standing. The fly tried to find shelter from the strong wind in wood crevices.

I'm not as impudent to think that I can ID this Medetera. But as a game before experts opinion I'll try, my guess -
M.borealis.
