Can anyone conform or correct my tentative ID of this small snail as Aeogopinella nitidula?

10.7.12 c7mm shell diameter, Wiltshire, UK.

I now think this is more likely to be the Strawberry snail Trochulus striolatus

Nope, yours is to flat comparing to google images. Anyway, next time catch it and do 3 view shoots, like on my images (seeing doors is crucial for id):

As you see both are 'flat' at top, but the doors are much different + width/height, ....

On your images the only thing one can see is flattnes of top.
