Hello!

I found this critter today on a tree (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Length about 5 mm. I assume, it belongs somewhere near the Keroplatidae or Mycetophilidae (?). Any hints? Thanks!

Hi J?rgen
This has the feel of Cecidomyiidae. The colour of the abdomen suggests it is one of the species with bright red larvae.
