Hello!
I know, the dark antennae should qualify this one as a
Scatophaga stercoraria (female). But it was very small (5-7 mm) and dark for this species. "Normal" looking and sized females and males were also around today. Is this possibly even another genus? Thanks!

Hello Juergen,
Today I found a similar fly. Much smaller and darker (especially from above) than the 'normal' S. stercoraria I see around here (Leerdam, Netherlands). While photographing it, I was convinced it was something different. I think our flies must be S. stercoraria, but it would be interesting to hear if such variations in size and colour are normal.
