Three Tachypeza's, I suppose. Are they all T. nubila?
All animals were seen in forests in Southern Limburg.

Top and bottom I am reasonable certain that they are
T. nubila (male at the top, female at the bottom). The middle one I am uncertain. Apparently the wings are completely dark. As fas as I can see the other characters, they fit with
T. winthemi but that might well be a northern species. I have to check further.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your comment. The colours of the wings don't look very natural in most of my Tachypeza-pictures : they might be influenced by reflections of the flashlight.
Here are two older photo's, the first one was confirmed by you as Tachypeza nubila some time ago and its colours seem to be realistic.
The second one looks rather impressive, but I remember that is was very small, about 2-3 mm.
These two I saw in November and September, the rest in May and June.
