Hello all,

Here is a caterpillar I found in Quebec (September 21st, 2010). It was crossing the road.

I'm suspecting Euplexia benesimilis but I'm not sure.

Can you please confirm/infirm my id?

Thank you very much for your so appreciated help :)

To identify Noctuidae a valuable reference is

Wagner, David L. et al. 2011. Owlet Caterpillars of Eastern North America. Princeton University Press http://press.prin.../9420.html

According to Wagner the white spots on A8 are distinctive for Euplexia benesimilis.
