Hello,

These two are from the same location, near a little pond at the edge of a forest in Southern Limburg (Vijlenerbos).
The first was seen in June, the second in September.

Hi Ben,

Both specimens seem to belong to the group of Geomyza annae/balachowskyi/hackmani/martineki. It is difficult to give a positive id from a picture. My best guess would be Geomyza hackmani/martineki for the first one and Geomyza balachowskyi for the second. If you collected the specimens, they can be identified by the genitalia.

Thanks Jan Willem,

The animals were not collected. I came there during the summer about two times a month and almost every time I saw a Geomyza, but always only one.
