If the hind tibiae are broadened, yes, that would be a possibility.

Hind tibia, especialy male's, is very much broadened!

Neither of Leptometopa species from Europe.
Could anybody advise any key for North African Leptometopa, please?

I was mistaken when keyed this fly.
It is Leptometopa latipes, without doubts!
