Hi again! I have taken some images of mosquito nymphe and tried to identify them. I came as far as Baetis but no further. Can somebody help?
I found out, that the one with the red eyes seem to be male and the one with the green eyes semm to be female. I found them in a rainwatertank in southern germany.
I have differnt angles if that should help.

no Baetis, this genus is restricted to flowing waterbodies. As it has two pairs of lateral (rounded) lamellae on the foremost abdominal segments and it is from a small stagnant waterbody, it must be Cloeon sp. and most likely Cloeon dipterum.
.....and by the way it is no mosquito but a mayfly nymph

yes, since about 1990 aquatic invertebrates are not only a hobby, but also a fully paid work at a private company in Amsterdam. I'm not specialised in a single group of aquatic invertebrates but identify them all (annelids, insects, mites etc) to species level, from freshwater to brackish water and since about 2 years also from the North Sea. This experience has led to some papers and books.
