Hello...
Sorry for my bad English :|, but do you think this fly is a
Calliphoridae and could be
Lucilia sp ?
place : France, near Swiss, 1000 meters high, gardens at fall, after first freeze
date : 4 November 2006
length : 6 mm ?
Thank you for your advices !

:( I'm sorry but I don't know why I can't attach my file, which is supposed to have the length and the type they should have...
:D Yes ! It was just a stupid problem of spaces !

You made the photos so small it is hard to see the details. If the fly has green between the eyes, as it seems to have, it might be a
Neomyia sp (
Muscidae)!? Let's hear what the pro's say.

I'm inclined towards
Neomyia, but the wing venation is a little odd - the bend in vein M is not quite acute enough. Perhaps the wings are not fully expanded. (It is very late in the year!)

Thanks
For the date of the photo I want to underline that despite a very mild fall , earier days of november were actually very cold (around -10? C during the nignt ) Looking for insects to photograph I find only flies ...
