Hello!
Still photographing Muscids... ;-). Are all these from our house wall and from trees at the forest edge from yesterday (Ostwestfalen/Germany) females of
Phaonia subventa? Length about 10-12 mm. Thanks!

Hi Juergen.
1. I think 1,2 and 3,4 - two different flies.
2. Accorning my key 3,4 fits with Ph. rufiventris - 1ac presut, antennae yellow/black. But as I wrote in:

currently I have doubts in my key.

Pics 1 and 2 are different individuals, 3 and 4 show the same animal, if I remember correctly this time.

On 3,4 I could not see the dark middle band often on the abdomen of
P. subventa. That would favour
P. rufiventris of course. But it's not clearly visible because of the wings...
