I did really miserably with Tabanid flies this year, just observed 6 or 7 individuals. In old days I was bittern by more than that..

I think this is another common species. Also within Tabanus?

i never seen Tabanidae flies here in Viseu! Neither once time. Just in Spain.

Yes, probably you are right. I managed to look up an older thread, where a similar fly was identified as A. rusticus. Is this a female A. rusticus?

Well, I'm sure it is a female Atylotus.

Not sure about the species, but A. rusticus would be my best guess as well.
