From midwest Sweden 2006-10-12 (YYYY-MM-DD). One shot only. Muscid or Anthomyiid? Small abdomen on this one, or is it the wings that are long?

Tony and Paul have helped me through about a dozen of these in the last few weeks. I wonder if I am learning anything? I can't really see the anal vein because of the fly's dark body; if it reaches the wing margin, then Anthomyiidae, if I have learned my lessons right.
Without being able to see the anal vein, I would look at the arista. Since it seems not to be plumose, I would say Anthomyiidae rather than Muscidae, but it would be good to hear what others think, so I hope someone else will add their ideas.

I know about the anal vein, although it's not always easy to see. Perhaps this pale photo shows an Anthomyiidae then ... Thnx Stephen.

Well. I wouldn't like to say - my feeling is muscid, but your neighbour in Finland may be more familiar with this one - are you there, Kahis?
