Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Lauxaniidae or Drosophilidae II

Here's another one that I first thought was Drosophilidae, but now am starting to wonder if it is Lauxaniidae instead.

Once again, I have only one photo, but will post it in a large size.

Length of the fly is 3.6 mm to the rear of the wings. On a squash plant, open area but near woodlands too, grass clippings nearby. West Virginia USA, 1 October 2006.

I think this one is Scaptomyza. In Europe I would say S. pallida (acrostichal setae apparently in two rows). With the moving of material around the worldmI expect the species will be at least Holarctic now (I have not checked my books yet), but I can imagine there are more species with just two rows of acrostichals in the Nearctic.
