Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Unknown larva

Well, I presume its a larval stage, but of what? Its smaller than a ladybird larvae and has those long spiny horns. I know its not a great photo but I was poking about in the near dark!

Yea for some reason I never thought of springtails (Collembola) Looked too big to what Im used to

And this one is still juvenile (older specimens are lighter and more yellowish)! :) O. villosa is one of our larger springtails, grows up to 6 mm.
