Yesterday I photographed this fly at Leerdam, Netherlands. Could something be said about the identification?

Yours is a male, and might be Mydaea or Helina rather than Phaonia

What do you need to see in order to pin this guy down to genus level? I've some more photographs of him (I guess because of the touching eyes, should have seen that;)), so may be....

Cor - a nice clear view of the hind tibia would be good! And if you can manage a close up of the radio-cubital node (about one-fourth from the base of the wing) ...
