This is maybe the fifth Moth Fly species I have photographed. Of the five, it has the cleanest white wings (no dark spots).
Also, compared with the others, it seems to hold its wings more tent-like against the body and not spread.
Attracted to lights, open area near woodland, West Virginia USA, 19 October 2006. Length 2.5 mm.
Is it possible to say anything more narrow than Psychodidae?
