Yes, it was caught by myself. I was with Andrade. But he was collecting other flies on trees. :) I went to Umbelliferae where this Mallota was found. I have the couple.
I will check the specimen later and telling here if the eyes are bare/hairy.

Checked right now the eyes. They are totally bare.
