Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Sphaeroceridae ?

Maybe Sphaeroceridae? I'm going mostly on the long arista and general appearance.

Wetland, near woodland, 18 September 2006, West Virginia USA, length 2.1 mm.

ID help appreciated!

Thanks, Paul! Looking back at my files, I see that just minutes after photographing this one, I photographed another Sphaerocerid (I already posted that photo here on diptera.info) but the fly shown on this page was exactly half the size of the other one.

Some species have a considerable variation in size but this seems to be a little tto big for it to be the same species.
