Another request from a friend... This fly was photographed a week ago by Alessandro Girodo on a river bank near Turin in northern Italy. It was about 1.5 cm and under an oak leaf.

I am at a loss with this one. I think it must be a
Sargus bipunctatus female with strange abdominal colouration
