Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Haematopota pluvialis???

I met once something (beutiiful) that could be a male of Haematopota pluvialis. Am I right?
A female along for comparison

Well, it could very well be, but difficult (if not impossible) to tell from the pictures. Haematopota species are very similar, both females as males. My guess would be for the male either H. pluvialis or subcylindrica.
