Hello everyone, especially tachinid fans!
This time I have a question for you - what's the name of this tachinid with piercing mouthparts? I hope it is a tachinid indeed :)
It was caught in one of the caves in Germany, August 2010, size approx. 6 mm.

Thank you for suggestions!

Hard to see much detail but if it has a long, hinged proboscis then it should be a Siphona sp. :)

Sorry for the quality of pictures... Yes, it has a hinged proboscis, so Siphona it is! Thank you, Chris!

Hi Andriau,
If it has hairy parafacial (at least with five setulae below the frontal setae) than could be S. geniculata, very common there in the west.
