Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Really is Micropezidae This Time (I Think)

After my first Micropezidae post ended up not being a Micropezid, I was determined to find one. Luckily, this fly showed up at my mercury vapor lamp. I am reasonably certain of the ID unless there are some look-alike families.

Length 10 mm. Photographed at lights, early a.m. of 1 October 2006.

ID comments appreciated.

Here's a lateral view of the head and thorax.

No doubt, that's a Micropezid. Rainieria antennaepes?

Kahis, that does look like a good match! Thank-you.
