Hello,

Just for the fun, six pictures showing how it unfolds its tongue (should I say proboscis?).

Hi Pierre.
With bicolor cheeks and yellow-brownish fore aspirator it has to be Calliphora vicina.

The basicosta seems yellow, which supports Nikita's view.

Yes, the dark calypter, orange anterior spiracle, orange cheeks with no orange hairs and pale basicosta all add up to vicina. Great shots, Pierre! B)

Hi Pierre An exceptionally useful (and excellent :D:D) photo for me. This is the most important fly of forensic entomology. Will you submit a pic to the gallery. And if you find vomitoria that too.
