Hello,

this insect was photographed in our garden today.

Location:
Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Handewitt near Flensburg, garden, 15.7.10

I have no idea, what it is.

Can anyone help me with the identification?

I dare a guess: Crabronidae - Ectemnius spec. Compare http://www.hymis....1=pictures.

IŽll save the picture in a "Ectemnius sp."-folder.
