hi flyforum,
This afternoon I got this little Rhino sp. (?).
I was thinking of Rhinophoridae..
place: Amsterdam forest, vegetation near water
size: 5-6mm
date: 4-07-2010

Looks like
Rhinophora lepida - the standard really tiny rhino that sits on foliage in gardens etc :)

Yes it is. Females lack the greyish dustspots on tergites.
Get to know this species from all angles, since it will be very common till end of August !
