Am I even correct that it's a Syrphidae?

Also, how do I attach further photos without adding to the thread? I have noticed some posts have multi photos.

Hi, Nick!

It's a male Eristalis (see the "wave" in wing venation, typical for Eristalini), most likely E. tenax.

The eyes are touching each other...they are separated in females :)
