I?m not sure what species of Pyrrocoridae you?re likely to find on birch trees, but I don?t think these are Pyrrhocoris apterus ? their nymphs are more shiny and have less transverse spots on the abdomen. Although I can?t be sure, I suspect these could be young nymphs of Kleidocerys resedae ? the Birch Catkin Bug.
