Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Poor hoverfly. ID ?

A syrphid caught by a spider on a flower. But which one? (I can't identify the spider either). Today, in Portugal, near the coast.

Back to the poor syrphid. Could it bee a Merodon equestris ? Body shape and wing venation match. Still I think there are many similar species in the south of Europe.
