Which one is this?
Lappeenranta, Finland, 14.7.2009, only photo, not collected.

Nice picture! It might be Dioctria hyalipennis, but I'm not sure.

Definitely looks like D. hyalipennis since the risen part below the antennae is so low. The near-species [i]D. rufipes, which by the way also occurs there in the east (and not here) has a substantially higher "knob" there.

Not a tick expert (or any kind of expert come to think of it :|) but a lot of similar looking ones here, which I assumed grow up to be like this one, (Probably wrong again).

Photographed a couple of days ago meandering around on a wall.

Ekhohe beautifully enlarged and circled the key element of this case above. And now I'm even more certain that this can't be rufipes, since that one really has quite a bulge there!

Hi Roger, I don't think your Trombicula is the same kind of mite, aren't they (or rather the larvae) supposed to parasitise small mammals rather than insects?
