This is a long shot, but maybe someone can say something based on this pic.

The moth is emerging from the moss.

I have forgotten the size but it was not small, Norway, 19.07

Another image from above will be more useful. Apparently close to Hydriomenini tribe of the subfamily Larentiinae.

I dare say that the species can be Hydriomena furcata, a very variable species, both in markings and in colour. It flies in July and August.
