Location: Swizterland, 412 müM, on my balcony
date: 21.10.09, today
size: about 11 mm

late in the year, isn't it?
If it is arcuatum again, is this species a unique one? If yes, I would be sure for next time ;)

Is an ID possible? Thank you! Regards, Brigitte

Yes, I feel lucky . . . :-)
(today it is cold and rainy, only wasps and eristalis on my balcony)

From C.elegans are no pics in Gallery, but you "think" it's C.elegans. So not sure enough to fill in Gallery?

I am pretty sure, but Chrysotoxum is difficult... You could ad it as cf.

Maybe it is Chrysotoxum arcuatum, Andre.

No. Arcuatum has much longer hairs on the tergites.
