Hi,
a large fly, app 4cm long. It captured a insect and was feeding on it. Pictured in Tanzania.

Can anybody please id the fly and the prey?
Thanks

Muhammad,

This very nice photo of a neat robber fly shows a species of Pegesimallus (can't go further without seeing the specimen).

Regards, Eric

Thanks a lot Eric. :)

What can the prey be? Even the basic id of the prey would be good.
