Hi, first I tought it was a nymph of Psocoptera. It is only ~0.7 mm long, orange, and transparent (the photo is almot in situ, no NaOH!) Under a still standing but dead trees bark. Looks bit like Ptiliidae, but no wings are visible. Can anyone help? Anyone knows a Ptiliidae expert?

I´m not sure if it is a ptilid, it looks pretty much like one. Try e-mailing Mikael Sörensson in Lund (mikael.Sorensson -- at -- zool.lu.se), he is working intensely with Ptilids on a global level, is always interested in new material and is a fast to respond to e-mails (as far as I have been trying).
