Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tephritis formosa(?)

Hello flyforum,

This fly looks Tephristis to me.., and I wonder if it is T. formosa?

I think I can use some help with this fly... ;)

Hi Robert,

This is a female (if the lower two are the same specimen!) of Xyphosia miliaria, with veery little reticulation in between the spots, which is quite unusual.

All flies above are the same specie.
It's size got my attiontion too, compare with other species it was rather big..
