Large beetle, about 3-4 cm long, walking in the sand near the sea. Looked like a Stag Beetle (
Lucanus sp.) at first sight but the shape of the body and the antennae don't match. I don't think it belongs to the
Lucanidae family either. No idea.

I believe it is a
Scarites sp., from the Carabidae family.
