Hello, I supose my doubt is not easy, ´cause I´m interested n spanish species´ keys and descriptions. Though they´re absent for the most of families, I keep on buying others hoping one day I´ll have enough for this species. Here it is my wish-list:
*
- Muscidae: I´ve got Faune de france (oh my!) and a very nice book from central Europe (Folia) (i haven´t foundt the RES one, it´s out of print)
- Anthomyiidae: Faune de France (again, oh my!)
I´m wondering if Lindner´s books are out of date, because they would become a big amount of money

* Sarcophagidae: I´ve got Pape´s one (much too nordic for me), Lehrer´s one (much too Eastern and with no Miltogrammiinae) and one for Ethiopic Miltogrammiinae, Do yo know any other book for here? I Hope the next one I buy will be more "focused" here

* Calliphoridae: I´ve got the Calyptratae RES one, and keys for spanish Rhiniinae, Lucilliinae and Chrysomyinae, any reference for Palearctic Menalomyinae? I refuse the Lindner´s one just for three species of Calliphorinae

* Tachinidae: : (a big oh my!): The old Calyptrata and the new RES ones; the monograph for Central Europe, and Lindner´s Phasiinae and "Larvaevorinae". I would like at least having keys and descriptions enoguh for Goniini, maybe it should be searching for separated articles?

I´ll be grateful for any answer for any of them, it would be a good help, thank you very much

Sarcophagidae and Calliphoridae
- SÉGUY (E.) Etude sur les mouches parasites. 1. Conopides, Oestrides et Calliphorines
de l'Europe Occidentale - 1928 - 251 p - 300 figs.
If you can get hold of this, you may find it useful, though it is a bit out of date.
Anthomyiidae - Mike Ackland's keys to the British species will help for some - it is really well illustrated, so you should have no doubts if you find one of the species covered (mostly males only).

Muscidae - I see that there is a copy of Fonseca's RES key to Muscidae on Abebooks (from Bookbarn International in Bristol, England) - but they are charging £99 (=108 Euros) for it!!!!
Personally I think charging that much for scientific knowledge is disgusting. :( I hope they never sell it! In the meantime, perhaps we should find out if the RES will support the production of a pdf version of this key until another edition is produced.

1. Fonseca is much cheaper via Royal Entomological Soc., but to buy here is a great headache :D
2. Fonseca is great, but Gregor's (and K) Muscidae of Central Europe is good too.
3. + Fanniidae of Europe (Gregor, Pont, Rozkosny) + the abovememtioned Fonseca for Fanniidae too

Prof. Gregor key is very nice but there are some mistakes, sometimes identification is very difficult with use of this key. Some characters are wrong. I have found some time ago on Diptera.info link ( http://lrs.afpmb.org/) to the website where a lot of free articles were in pdf (also Fonseca key).

For your Calliphoridae I think you would find ROGNES, K, Blowflies (Diptera, Calliphoridae) of Fennoscandinavia and Denmark, FSE useful too. http://www.nhbs.c..._4959.html

I think you should get most of the species, but I see it is £106. So difficult to prioritise needs...

* Scandinavian books: I´ve bought 5 and they are very good; and those for European species are perfect, but, for instance, Tachydromiinae has just 14 of about 80 Platypalpus species from here. I´ve copied the link but it´ll have to wait a few months. Thanks, I love references coming from experts
