I have checked this cricket against the original description and I think this is a female of Gryllomorpha merobricensis Fernandes, 1959, which described it from Serra de Grândola and Santiago do Cacém and suggested that some nymphae collected by Ebner in Monchique and Foia could belong to this species as well.
Gorochov & Llorente, 2001 consider that this is just a subspecies of Gryllomorpha adspersa, a species originally described from Northern Africa, and changed the name to Gryllomorpha adspersa merobricensis Fernandes, 1959. They add new localities from many provinces of Andalucia as far east as Almeria.
